Good location, clean, updated, large room, friendly staff
I was very pleased with my stay. The location was great as I was in town for a race near Chrissy Field/Golden Gate area. I felt very safe in this part of town and was able to walk back and forth to the waterfront. It is also close to Chestnut and Union street so there are pleanty of food options. The hotel staff was really nice and helpful. They helped me book a shuttle to get back to the airport. The rooms were more than adequate for the price. If I ever go back to San Fransisco I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
The location is ideal for being in the city but away from the Union Square thing.Staff very friendly, public transport nearby, and lots of great walks!
Quiet location near good restaurants.
The trade-off for the quiet location is remoteness from main attractions of the city. This is a very basic motel, not a destination accommodation.
The staff was so helpful and pleasant. The hotel is on Lombard but is very quiet. Great pubs, bistro right next door, and just a lively neighborhood. Nothing fancy but a terrific deal and location.
Towels are not terribly thick...but do the job
Clean room. We show up about 8 am (check in time is after 2 pm) but manager found for us another room so we could check in erlier which was very convinient.
refigerator is $3 rent.
The room was excellent. The receptionist gladly helped us with an early check-in even if the room she reserved for us was not vacant yet. It is a very nice inexpensive motel, right next to Presidio park and Marina District. Many cheap eateries around. Wi-Fi speed was amazing. We were extremely satisfied, especially for the price we paid.
Clean, pleasant, parking and a good value
It's hard to pick the best feature. The value for price was excellent, the location, near the Golden Gate bridge, proximity to shopping in the Marina District, the good restaurants, scenic beauty of the Presidio, etc. Lots of good things about the location. Oh, free parking and free wi-fi was also good.
The hotel is rather small, situated near beatiful parks and at walking distance of Golden Gate bridge view
The breakfast in the hotel is quite symbolical but the hotel is not expensive and it's no surprise
Its location on a quiet street in a quiet residential neighbourhood close to the big Presidio parkland, but easily accessible to the city by bus or bike.
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Country Hearth for two nights in september while traveling. The Inn was in a great location for visits to the warf, Ghiradelli Square, and Chestnut street shops/ restaurants. The highlight of our trip was definitely the Exploratorium, which is about a 7 minute walk from the Inn. We also recommend strolling down Chestnut street and getting coffee at The Chestnut Roastery, then checking out We Olive. We stayed in a single queen sized room, it was small but cozy and my only complaint is that the bed could have been a bit more comfortable. The cleaning crew was very friendly and the room was incredibly clean. One lady at the front dek was very helpful with directions. Breakfast was a bit dinky but what can you expect for $100 a night? It was enough to get us up and going.
No guests allowed policy was very inconvenient, as we were meeting up with friends one night and couldn't invite them back to rest after hiking through the exploratorium. I wish they were more accommodating on that note. I understand why they wouldn't allow overnight guests, but having visitors for a couple hours during the day shouldn't trouble anyone. The bed could have been more comfortable, but I was so tired it didn't make a difference. The bathroom was really bright and entirely white... I think it's time for some remodleing, before people start going blind here.
ok - clean, easy to busses, good food/bars
no-ware to wait for the taxe for the areport!
Hotel is ready for fixing al cain of thinks, such as, room door and safety look, toilet air vantulation special in room 15. Braekfast is very basic with crosant and muffin
